Explore Rara Lake

Early in the morning (4:30 am), you will begin your journey from Kathmandu towards Kohalpur. The long yet picturesque drive will keep you engaged with changing landscapes. Upon reaching Kohalpur in the evening, you will check into your hotel, have dinner, and rest for the night.

After having breakfast, you will continue your journey towards Manma, the district headquarters of Kalikot. By the time you reach Manma, you will feel the fresh mountain air and witness the beauty of the mid-hill region. Today is an exciting day as you head towards the breathtaking Rara Lake. On the way, you will visit Sinja Valley in Jumla, a historically significant place known as the ancient capital of the Khas Kingdom. This valley is also the place where the Khas language, which later evolved into the Nepali language, originated. After exploring Sinja Valley and its surroundings, you will continue your journey toward Rara. As you get closer, you will be captivated by the pristine landscapes, pine forests, and snow-capped peaks. Upon reaching Rara, you will check into your accommodation and rest for the night, preparing for the next day’s exploration.

Today, you will spend your time exploring the stunning Rara Lake, the largest and one of the most beautiful lakes in Nepal. The crystal-clear waters of the lake reflect the surrounding hills and mountains, creating a mesmerizing view. You can walk along the lakeshore, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and capture some unforgettable moments. For adventure lovers, a hike to Murma Top is a great option. This hike will take you to a viewpoint from where you can witness the breathtaking panoramic view of Rara Lake, the surrounding hills, and the distant mountain ranges. After an exciting day of exploration and hiking, you will return to your accommodation near the lake and spend the night in the tranquil surroundings of Rara.

After enjoying a peaceful morning by the lake, you will begin your journey back towards Manma. The return drive will allow you to soak in the beauty of the region once again. You can take breaks along the way to enjoy the stunning scenery and refresh yourself. Upon reaching Manma, you will check into your hotel and relax after a long day of travel.

Leaving Manma behind, you will head back towards Kohalpur. On the way, you will visit Kakre Bihar, an ancient stone temple with historical and religious significance. After that, you will visit the Deuti Bajyai Temple, a sacred site with great cultural importance. Finally, you will stop at Bulbule Tal, a beautiful lake known for its peaceful environment and natural beauty. After enjoying these sites, you will continue your drive and reach Kohalpur by evening, where you will spend the night.
