Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative and transferred to your hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu’s tourist hub. After check-in, you will receive a trek briefing, followed by an equipment check. You can explore Kathmandu’s bustling streets, visit cultural sites, or prepare for the trek. An early 25-minute flight takes you to Pokhara, a beautiful lake city. From there, a scenic 4-5 hour drive through lush hills and rivers leads to Ghandruk, a charming Gurung village. You can explore the Gurung Museum, admire Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peaks, and experience the local culture. Overnight stay in Ghandruk.

The trek begins with a gradual ascent through forests and terraced fields. You will pass through Chhomrong, a large Gurung village with spectacular mountain views. After crossing Chhomrong Khola, a steep uphill climb leads to Sinuwa, a peaceful settlement in the heart of the Annapurna region. Overnight stay in Sinuwa.

Today’s trek takes you through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests with occasional glimpses of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre peaks. Passing through Bamboo, Dovan, and Himalaya, you will reach Deurali, a small village surrounded by dramatic cliffs and waterfalls. The landscape changes as you move closer to the alpine zone. A gradual uphill trail leads to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m), where you will witness stunning views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Gangapurna. Continuing further, you enter the Annapurna Sanctuary and arrive at Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). The panoramic 360-degree view of Annapurna I (8,091m) and surrounding peaks is breathtaking. After enjoying a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna range, you will retrace your steps down to Bamboo. The descent is easier and offers a different perspective of the mountains and valleys. The trail leads back to Chhomrong, followed by a steep descent to Jhinu Danda, famous for its natural hot springs. After several days of trekking, you can relax and soak in the therapeutic waters near the Modi Khola River. Overnight stay in Jhinu Danda.

The final trekking day involves an easy descent through villages and farmland towards Nayapul. From here, a private vehicle will transfer you back to Pokhara. In Pokhara, you can relax by Phewa Lake, explore Lakeside, or visit attractions like Davis Falls and the World Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

After breakfast, a short 25-minute flight takes you back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you can enjoy free time for shopping, exploring UNESCO sites like Boudhanath Stupa or Kathmandu Durbar Square, or simply relaxing at your hotel.
